Since I've been at Pizza Hut I think one of the most exciting and innovative projects that
I've worked on has been with The World Food Programme. It's quite an integral part of the
Pizza Hut strategy moving forward. It's about making, working at Pizza Hut more than just
serving at tables or selling pizza, it's about being part of something bigger. Basically
whenever we achieve great service we ask our guests to give us a score to mark us. And
every time we achieve what we call an excellent score or we earn a wow, as we like to
phrase it, we donate a cup of rice to The World Food Programme, that's an amount of rice
that the The World Food Programme has basically told us will feed a child to keep them
alive in the developing world for a day. So, every time somebody in our business gives
great service to our customers, we feed a child and keep them alive and that's an amazing
feeling, that's something that makes you feel great about yourself and speaking to Team
Members up and down our business I know it's something that really resonates with them and
it's a chance to do more than just your job and it's quite heartening to be part of that.
