As a new Manager, your training begins with a 16-week induction programme which will give you all the technical skills and information you'll need for the road ahead. And you won't stop learning until the day you leave the company (which if you're anything like the majority of our people, won't be for some time in the distant future).
From the word 'go' you'll be assigned to a training restaurant and an experienced Restaurant General Manager. He or she will act as your coach and mentor as you complete a series of training modules and apply your new-found expertise 'on-the-job'. You'll attend one of our dedicated management training centres, where you'll take part in various workshops on subjects ranging from business management to leadership.
While there are no formal exams, you'll be expected to complete a range of assessments during the training programme to gauge your progress. As well as benefiting from ongoing reviews with your line manager, you'll also get the chance to share your ambitions with us by putting together a personal development plan.
"Over the 26 years I've been with the company, I've progressed from part-time Team Member to Restaurant General Manager (RGM) and then moved into Customer Relations at Head Office. The fact I've been here so long is testament to Pizza Hut's commitment to developing their people. I've never had the chance to get bored and they've really accommodated my changing needs."
Natalie - Customer Services Supervisor.
"I've been at Pizza Hut for more than 11 years and in that time have progressed from an RGM to Audit and Loss Prevention Manager and from there into my current role in the Supply Chain. Due to its ongoing expansion and reinvention, Pizza Hut still has the feel of a fresh and exciting company that's really going places."
Iain - Distribution Manager.
